White House Announces October Garden Tour Weekend

Free, timed tickets will be distributed on October 17 and 18 for public visits to the White House grounds.

A fall weekend on the grounds

The White House announced public garden tours for Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The announced route includes the South Lawn, Rose Garden and Kitchen Garden.

Tickets are required

Admission is free, but every visitor, including small children, needs a timed ticket. The National Park Service is scheduled to distribute tickets outside the White House Visitor Center at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW beginning at 8:30 a.m. each tour day. Distribution is first come, first served, with one ticket per person.

Check before traveling

Weather can force cancellation, and security restrictions limit permitted belongings. Visitors should review the official announcement before leaving; the 24-hour event information number is 202-456-7040. The announced ticket process does not guarantee admission to everyone who arrives.
